The excitement grows as the date for our departure draws near.  We have our shots and our tickets and soon we will be on our way.  We trust that your prayers will carry us to Africa and back in safety.  Visiting both Zambia and Zimbabwe has proved to be a bit more costly than the early projections.  If anyone wishes to help the Upstate New York Synod with these expenses, special gifts will be gratefully received.  Anything beyond expenses will be shared with our companions. We know that our presence is vitally important to establish the covenant and make our partnership a reality.  We also know that we have a great deal to learn from these people about being deeply and joyfully faithful even during times of great adversity.  We look forward to sharing our adventures in faith and mission upon our return
