Dan RiftJoin us on March 13, 2010 at Atonement Lutheran Church in Rochester for a workshop on fighting hunger both locally and globally.

The Rev. Daniel Rift, Director of ELCA World Hunger and Disaster Appeal, will be with us to talk about the work we do as a church. He will also be able to give us the latest details on the work we are doing in Haiti to help in their time of crisis.

The program begins at 9:30 am and will continue until about 3pm. In addition to hearing Rev. Rift speak, three opportunities to break out in to smaller groups will be provided. Before lunch, pastors will have a chance to talk with Rev. Rift while Ann Myers walks lay members through the basics and resources available to developing and maintain excitement in a hunger program in your congregation.

Following the lunch, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about ways to make a difference with tracks for adults and children and youth programs. The final workshop of the day is entitled Disasters: In the Middle of it and will feature local pastors who have both dealt with disasters in their communities and those who have provided assistance during disasters.

Lunch will be provided.

To reserve your spot today, please contact Atonement Lutheran Church at 585-442-1018. Atonement is located at 1900 Westfall Road in Rochester.
