If you travel down Falconer Street in Jamestown, you can't help but notice the welcoming Hultquist Place Assisted Living expansion and the Smartment™ Building on the Lutheran Social Services campus.
"We are excited to bring the Smartment™ concept to this community," said Tom Holt, president and CEO for Lutheran Social Services. "It feels like a high-end hotel with heated sidewalks and dropoff area," Holt said. "We've designed serpentine walkways and have chosen classic lighting features to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our living rooms are spectacular. They feature a fireplace, big screen TV and comfortable seating. Residents love the views of our beautiful campus."
Outdoor features include siding, porches, patios and the entryway. Sharon Hamilton, Vice President of Lutheran Senior Housing, said the new technology is amazing. "It's so easy; residents can use it without knowing about computers," she said. "The built-in system is nonintrusive and respects resident privacy and the wellness module uses a touch screen. It's very exciting!"
There is no entry fee for the Smartment™ Building, and all utilities are included except for phone. The apartments are pet-friendly and tobacco/smoke free. Other features include appliances, central air, walk-in showers, washer/dryer in each apartment and beautiful outdoor spaces.
