Who: ELCA stakeholders - Bishops, camp directors, state public policy directors, throughout the Marcellus Shale region, along with ELCA staff that are involved in developing and implementing the ELCA's social policy.

When: Beginning 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 22 and ending 3:00 pm Thursday, September 23

Where: Southwestern PA (outside of Pittsburgh) in the Marcellus Shale region

Why: The purpose is to discuss the issue of hydraulic fracturing and how the ELCA should respond to this growing issue and to develop a set of balanced and unified guidelines for addressing policy issues related to hydraulic fracturing issues in communities.
